The Voyages

Cheng Ho visited Melaka at least 5 times during his famous seven voyages to the Western Ocean. Het set up a huge warehouse complex along the northern side of the Melaka River. However, some people claims  the warehouse was located in Bukit Cina because there is a Sampo well ad the area is named Sampo Hill. The exact location of Cheng Ho's warehouse worth serious study. It is believed that the present musuem is situated on the original site of Guan Chang built by Cheng Ho, the Ming Grand enuch, about 600 years ago.

There is a Cheng Ho Cafe just located next to the museum. This is a nice place for visitors or travellers to have a simple and casual lunch. It is a non Halal cafe which serve pork and liquors and it have variety of Western food.
